SAILING CRUISES IN CROATIA 

THE KORNATI ISLANDS ARCHIPELAGO                               

The  218 km2 of the natural park Kornati spreads over  89 islands but do not cover the whole.Therefore  Zut island is nor included.In the parc, 20 mooring areas are ready for yachtsmen. Swimmig, trekking, diving are limited but not forbidden in order to protect the wild life. Special areas are even set for barbecues.

 ZUT island ( Kornati archipelago)

Protected by the long island Kornat, Zut island is a real nest for mooring.  But spending the night at the marina of Zut might be safer.

The peaceful marina is surrounded by green trees. Cigadas and crickets are ther to welcome you. 120 places back to the catway, limited water provision, electricity, 2 restaurants full booked, meat and fish, local drinks, showers and sinks.

THE "PASSAGE" (Kornati archipelago)

Coming from th eWest, off SESTRICA VELIKI, the passage PROVERSA-MALA, between'OTOK and KATINA, is practical to get in the archipelago.

SPLIT

SPLIT city, built on a huge roman palace is a base in Croatia.  Cathedral, museums, old neighborhoods and a few Dalmatian dogs...

A pier is made for  ferries towards Italy, the North or south of the country. The staff is bi lingual.

A bus station allows you to catch cheap buses all along the coast towards Dubrovnik or Trogir, Murter and Zadar. The staff is not bi lingual.

The airport is at TROGIR, 25 km north. In 2000 none would stop in the airport itself. A taxi was compulsory.   

SPLIT Marina

SPLIT marina is a modern marina with 180 places in the water and 60 on shore. Diesel, ships chandlers, restaurants and shipyards are available. It is at 1,5 km from downtown.

MILNA

On the west coast of BRAC, Milna is very well [protected. A wonderful typical Mediterranean village.

The marina, 400 meters from the village has all facilities.

The coast is good for trekking.

PALMIZANA

PALMIZANA marina is located in the wild at the bottom of a little cove north of the islet of  PAKLENI. A jewel.

Port: 160 places, lavatories, diesel is on the island of HVAR 2 miles away.

LKRKA, the longes "fjord" in the area.

sailing up the river is a fantastic experience. Care is needed because it is narrow. It is recommended to enter from the south.

Possibility to spend the night. 

After SIBENIK the river turns north west and is full of oyster park. Then you sail in a deep that leads to a big salted lake.

Marina SKRADIN

Down the village, 200 places with water and electricity. Diesel at SIBENIK. Good wine and restaurants. This is the end of the river.

PRIMOSTEN

PRIMOSTEN village is built on a peninsula around its church surrounded by high trees and multiple flowers. The view around is wonderful.  Places for 20 yachts only.

ROGOZNICA

ROGOZNICA is located in a closed bay surrounded by woods.

TROGIR

The medieval town of TROGIR, Venetian style, with its monuments, large squares is a good place for night life. Built on a small island, it is linked to the continent and the island of CIOVO with bridges. Very interesting markets in the morning. It is a base for provisioning as well as ZADAR and SPLIT.
